Funeral Thursday For Mrs. Joseph Capouch, Schley

A requiem mass will be offered in the Holy Cross church at Schley tomorrow (Thursday) morning at 9:30 for Mrs. Joseph Capouch, 80, who died in the Cresco hospital Monday.

Mrs. Capouch had undergone surgery in July. She never fully recovered her normal health.

Offering the funeral mass will be the Rev. James Milota, assistant pastor. Burial will be in the Holy Cross cemetery adjoining the church. The Peckosh Funeral home is in charge of the funeral arrangements.

Mrs. Capouch, the former Mary Kubik, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Vincent Kubik, was born in Howard county September 20, 1878. She attended rural school near her home and was married to Joseph Capouch in Our Lady of Lourdes church, at Lourdes, October 7, 1905.

Mr. and Mrs. Capouch spent their entire married life on the farm in the Schley community. They became the parents of four children, all of whom survive.

Mrs. Capouch was a member of the Holy Cross church and the Altar and Rosary society.

Surviving Mrs. Capouch are her husband, Joseph, and her children, Mrs. Joseph L. (Dora) Neubauer of Lime Springs, Raymond Capouch and George Capouch, both of Cresco, and Viola, at home.

There are also five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Anna Voves of Elma; two brothers, Joseph and John Kubik of Cresco, and a half-sister, Mrs. Frank Nibaur of Elma.

Preceding Mrs. Capouch in death were two brothers, Anton and Frank Kubik.
