Joseph Capouch Funeral Held at Schley Friday

Funeral services for Joseph Capouch, 85, of Cresco, who died Wednesday morning in the Birtwistle Rest home following a three-months’ illness, were held from the Schley Holy Cross Catholic church Friday morning.

Burial was in the Holy Cross cemetery adjoining the church with the Peckosh Funeral home in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Capouch, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Capouch, was born March 18, 1880. He attended the rural schools and was a life-long resident of Howard county.

Mr. Capouch was married to Mary Kubik. Mr. and Mrs. Capouch became the parents of four children, all of whom survive.

Mr. Capouch farmed two miles north of Schley for more than 60 years. Mrs. Capouch preceded him in death in 1958.

Surviving Mr. Capouch are his children, Mrs. Joseph (Dora) Neubauer of Maple Leaf, and Raymond Capouch, George Capouch and Viola Capouch, all of Cresco, and two brothers and a sister, Mrs. Frank Kubik, and Frank and James Capouch, all of Cresco.

There are five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
