Mrs. Alfred Bachmann Funeral Held Jan. 15

Funeral services for Mrs. Ella Johanna Bachmann were held Jan. 15 at the Maple Leaf Lutheran church with the Rev. Harold Mountain officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Mrs. Bachmann died at her home Jan. 12 from a heart attack.

She was born Feb. 3, 1898 in Howard county, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Groth. She attended a Howard county rural school. On Oct. 27, 1926, she married Alfred Bachmann.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother; one sister; and an infant son.

Mrs. Bachmann is survived by her husband of Elma; three children, Mrs. John Hollingsworth of Kenosha, Wis., Mrs. Jim Van Kilsdonk of Phoenix, Ariz., and Mrs. Nelvin Johnson of Alta Vista; brothers and sisters, William Groth of Boone, Harry Groth of Riceville, Mrs. Harold Hartwig of Mesa, Ariz., Mrs. Freida Lauck of Elma, and Mrs. Victor Larson of Elma; and nine grandchildren.
