Joseph Baker died Wednesday, Nov. 13, after a brief illness at the home of his step-son D. S. Miller, with whom he had made his home the past year and where he was well cared for, enjoying every comfort which the home could afford. An only brother George Baker of Winnebago City, Minn., was with him at the time of his death. Funeral services were held at the M. E. church Thursday at 2:00 p.m. Rev. Chas. Burgess officiating spoke many comforting words, trusting that the spirit of the departed had entered the heavenly home which is eternal. The remains were laid to rest in the Phillips cemetery.
