WILBUR – Sept. 5, 1891, at his home in Howard Center twp., Howard county, Iowa, Henry L. Wilbur, aged 80 years, 3 months and 10 days.
Mr. Wilbur was born in Petersborough, N. Y., in 1811, where he was active in politics and business. He was one of the early anti-slavery men and one of the founders of the Republican party. He came with his family from New York to Howard Center, Iowa, in 1873, which has been his home ever since. His wife and one daughter, Mrs. Frank P. Howlett, survive him. He was a good citizen and a large circle of friends sympathize with the bereaved family.
