Mr. and Mrs. F. P. Howlett, of Howard Center, lost a little boy, about four years old, by diphtheria, last Sunday. We learn that other members of their family have been sick with diphtheria, but are recovering.

We hear of a number of cases of diphtheria in various parts of the county.

Transcriber’s note: This newspaper clipping did not identify the name of the child but cemetery records indicate his name was David A. and was born on February 17, 1877 and died November 28, 1880.
