Services held for Phyllis Perry

Funeral services for Phyllis Perry were held at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, January 13 at the United Methodist Church in Cresco with Rev. Lewis Flannigan officiating. Interment was in Howard Center Cemetery. Lindstrom Funeral Home handled the arrangements.

Phyllis, 84, died Tuesday, January 8, 2002 at the Evans Memorial Home in Cresco.

Phyllis Perry was born April 26, 1917 at Preston, MN, the daughter of George and Bertha (Forthun) Volkman.

On October 5, 1938 she married Chester Perry. They returned to the Perry family farm. They lived in the same farm home for 50 years. They moved to Cresco in 1994.

Gardening was a favorite pastime and she even mastered cultivating in the large garden back of the condo with her walker.
