Frances Melver, 60, services held

Funeral services for Frances Melver, 60, of Cresco, were held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 11, at the Lindstrom Funeral Home with interment in Howard Center Cemetery.

Frances died Sunday, February 8, 1998 at the New Hampton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in New Hampton.

She was born January 14, 1938 to Mike and Ruby (Owens) Morgan in Lawton, OK. Frances was united in marriage to George Melver, Sr., on June 12, 1954.

Survivors include her husband, George, Sr., of Cresco; two sons: George, Jr., of Lime Springs and Mike of Cresco; and two daughters: Sheere Melver of Lime Springs and Sue Melver of Manly; twelve grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three brothers: Jerry, Terry, and Mike Morgan, all of Lawton, OK; four sisters: Gloria Brows, Brenda Morgan, Judy Cooley, and Dorothy Lawson, all of Lawton, OK.

Frances was preceded in death by one son, John D. in infancy; her parents; one brother, Don; and one sister.
