Omer Sullivan,67,services in Dallas

Funeral services for Omer R. Sullivan, 67, were held at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Dallas, Texas on November 9 with a mass of Christian burial celebrated by Msgr. Richard Johnson. Burial was at Calvary Hill cemetery in Dallas.

Omer R. Sullivan was born June 9, 1920 at Elma to Charles and Margaret Sullivan. He graduated from Immaculate Conception high school in 1938. On December 8, 1941, Omer enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served four years.Upon his discharge he returned to the Elma area where he and his family lived until moving to Dallas in 1950.

Survivors are his wife Evelyn; two daughters, Patricia Grove of Branson, MO and Barbara Mounsey of Washington state; four sons, Terry E., Edward G.,Jeffrey R. and James John, all of Dallas; 11 grandchildren and three sisters, Marie Frank of Cresco, Betty Regan and Rose Marie Wubbens of Charles City.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Richard who died in 1973; a sister, Lila Marr, and five brothers, Virgil, Joseph, Laurence, Lavern and Charles who died in infancy.

Attending the funeral from this area were Marie Frank, Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Regan, Rose Marie Wubbens, Mary Lou Koschmeder, Hazel Boyle and Marian McGee; also Mr. and Mrs. Tom Marr and family of Del Rio, TX.
