Mrs. Irene Anchicks, wife of David Pay Anchicks, 9037 Bishop street, Chicago, Ill., and daughter of Mr. and John G Roberts of Lime Springs departed from this mortal life Friday mourning Oct.1,1925. The interment was Montrose Cemetery, Chicago. She was born at Lime Springs, Iowa, Nov. 30,1893, attended the local school and graduated with the class of 1912. She possessed a special and natural talent for music and naturally set out to fit herself in music.
She entered the Conservatory of Music at Oberlin, Ohio, in 1912 and some years later she completed her work for the Degree at Sherwood Music School in Chicago with Honors.Following this she taught music in branches of the Sherwood schools at Cresco, Iowa, and in her home town and also at Berwyn, Ill. It was here she met David Anchicks to whom she was married on June 26, 1923, at the parental home in the same room and on the same day of the month on which her parents were married 35 years before her.These few years of marriage proved exceptionally happy. She had high ideals, was a faithful and constant follower of the Great Master, possessed a most loving and tender nature and was justly worthy of Jesus Christ,injunction, "Blessed are the Meek."
She leaves behind her infant son Robert,born Sept.26,1925,devoted husband,loving parents,two brother,Clinton and Richmond and Sister Marie Roberts of Ames, Iowa, also a host of relatives and friends.
