Griffith G. Thomas was born at Llanfwrof Auglesey, North Wales, Oct. 23, 1851, the son of Griffith and Mary Thomas.

The family crossed the Atlantic in April, 1875, coming directly to Lime Springs, where some relatives had already settled.

Mr. Thomas spent about 40 years in and about Lime Springs being engaged many years in the lumber business in town and was also a favorite among many of the neighbors as carpenter and contractor.

The family moved to Minneapolis in 1911 where the last 12 years were spent.

Mr. Thomas was always prominent in church work-as singer in his early days and later he took great interest in the Sabbath school and was active in all the devotional meetings of the church.

He leaves a widow and five children,five brothers and two sisters and a large number of warm friends both in Lime Springs and Minneapolis.
