The following sketch of the life of Rollo H. Doolittle is reprinted from the Standard Press of St. Croix Falls, Wisc., near where deceased had lived for several years. He was the eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. J.E. Doolittle, and was born and reared in this vicinity.

Rolo Hollister Doolittle was born the 13th of April, 1885, at Cresco, Iowa, where he grew to manhood.

On the 13th day of December, 1906,he was married to Miss Laura A. Fye, also of Cresco. For seven years they engaged in farming there, then they moved to St. Croix Falls, Wis., and five years ago the located near Cushing.

After a lingering illness of about two years, he departed this life on the evening of August 2, 1924, having attained the age of 39 years, 3 months and 19 days.

A loving husband and father, as well as an upright and just citizen, has gone to meet his Maker and Redeemer.

He is survived by his loving wife, and six children, Lawrence, Glenn, Ruth, Dorothy, Ralph and Esther, all at home, also his father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Julius E. Doolittle, and one brother Ralph J. Doolittle, of Cresco, Iowa, besides uncles and aunts living in Iowa, Minnesota, North Dakota and California to mourn his untimely death.

Such is the will of the Lord- may He comfort and sustain them in this their hour of sorrow.

Funeral services were held in the Methodist Church at Cushing, Wis., on Tuesday afternoon, August 5th, 1924, with burial in the nearby cemetery.
