Vinita Church, 75, services set for Thursday

Vinita (Ohmacht) Church died Monday, July 7, 1986, of heart failure on her 75th birthday. She was hospitalized early Sunday morning and was transferred to St. Mary’s Hospital, Rochester, on Monday afternoon, where she died.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 10, in the United Methodist Church with interment in Howard Center Cemetery. Visitation will be at 5:00 p.m. Wednesday at Conway Funeral Home in Cresco.

Vanita was born July 7, 1911, in Cresco, the daughter of August L.W. and Anna (Reinhart) Ormacht. In 1928 Vinita graduated from Cresco High School. On February 18, 1935, she began working in the law firm of Elwood, Lyons and Elwood where she remained with the Elwood Law Firm until the date of her death. She will be missed by clients, associates and friends in Cresco and the area.

She married Frank Church who was mayor of Cresco for some time.

Her parents and husband preceded her in death.
