Lois Dotzler, 84
Funeral services for Lois M. Dotzler of Cresco, IA will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 6, 2008 at the First Lutheran Church of Cresco, IA.
Friends may call at the Lindstrom Funeral Home in Cresco from 4-7 p.m. on Wednesday evening and also one hour prior to services at the church.
Lindstrom Funeral Home in Cresco, IA is handling the arrangements.
Lois, 84, died Saturday, March 1, 2008 at the Regional Health Services of Howard County in Cresco.
Lois M. (Peterson) Dotzler was born October 5, 1923 the daughter of Julius and Anna Rygg. She was adopted by Mabel and Paul Peterson when she was three years old.
On January 11, 1944 she married John Dotzler. She was employed by St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Cresco for many years, and later worked for home healthcare.
She was an avid bingo player and also enjoyed playing cards with her friends. Her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were the joys of her life.
Lois is survived by her five daughters: Janet Neubauer, Mary (Ralph) Flugge, and Arlene Dotzler all of Cresco, IA, Shirley (Jerry) Hudecek of Mason City, IA, Kathy (Donald Fred) Aberg of Winterset, IA; five sons: David of Elma, IA, Gary, Dale, Scott, and Kenny all of Cresco, IA; son-in-law: Harold Meyer of Cresco, IA; 13 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband: John; two daughters: Angela in infancy and Diane Meyer; son-in-law: Zach Neubauer; granddaughter: Brenda Neubauer; great-granddaughter: Amaiya Aberg; four sisters: Bonnie Malek, Lillian Johnson, Anna Mae Fjeran, Ellen Olson; and three brothers: Harold, Cleveland, Carl, and Alvin Rygg.
