Services Held for Vera Roesler
Funeral services for Vera Roesler were held on Saturday, Aug. 26 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Lime Springs. Lindstrom Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
Vera, 94, died Tuesday, August 22, 2000.
Vera Roesler was born January 8, 1906 in rural Greene, the daughter of Fred and Rosa Fisher. She was the fourth child of ten born of this marriage and was baptized at two weeks of age into the Lutheran faith. At age eight her family moved to the Lime Springs area where she spent the rest of her life.
She married Harold Roesler in 1925. A son Bernard was born to this union in 1929.
Vera was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church since 1940 where she taught Sunday School, sang in the choir and was an active member of the Ruth Circle.
In 1970, Vera served as one of the first five to organize the Spring Apartments Board, serving until she moved into an apartment in 1976. In 1971 she was one of the first four officers who started the Senior Citizens Club, and has also been a member of the Friendship Bible Class since she moved into her apartment.
Survivors include one son: Bernard; two grandsons; one great-granddaughter; two step great-grandchildren; one sister: Ceola Sullivan of Fredericksburg; and a brother: Milton Fisher of Huntsville, AL.

Vera Roesler, 94, died Tuesday, Aug. 22, 2000.

Survivors include her son, Bernard and Betty Roesler; two grandsons, Brian Roesler of Rochester, Minn., and Darwin and Shanda Roesler of Owatonna, Minn.; a great-granddaughter, Holly of St. Charles, Minn.; two step-great-grandchildren, Amanda and Khole, both of Owatonna, Minn.; one sister, Ceola Sullivan of Fredericksburg; a brother, Milton Fisher of Huntsville, Ala.; and many nieces and nephews.
Vera Roesler was preceded in death by her husband, Harold, who died in 1968, five brothers and two sisters.
