Albert Pittelko, 70, services held
Funeral services for Albert Pittelko, 70, were held at 10:30 a.m. September 24, at Immanuel Lutheran Church. The Rev. Arndt F. Braaten and the Rev. Paul Lionberger officiated with interment in the Howard Center Cemetery. Casket bearers were nephews: Joe Hensley, Mark Grinhaug and Carl W. Grinhaug; also Jerry Pittelko, Adolph Gamez and Emmett Borseth. Arrangements were with Bradley-Lindstrom Funeral Home.
He died September 22, 1988 following a lengthy illness.
Albert Pettelko was born October 18, 1919 in Howard county, the son of William and Susan (Steffen) Pittelko. He served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II. On August 4, 1946 he was united in marriage to Edna Winselman in Preston, MN.
Albert worked at John Deere Co. in Waterloo for a short time and then moved to Cresco where he worked for the Howard County Highway Department for 30 years, serving as bridge foreman for many years. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.
Albert is survived by his wife, Edna of Cresco; a daughter, Mrs. Merle (Carole) Huber of Nevada, MO, three grandchildren; a brother, Carl of Cresco and two sisters, Viola Hensley and Alvina Grinhaug, both of Cresco.
