On March 4, 1897 she was united in marriage to Ben Offen of Bonair, Iowa. To this union were born five children, all whom, with the husband, survive. They are: Lester and Elsie of Los Angeles, Calif., Leon of LeRoy, Minn., Elmer of Pine River, Minn; and Villo of Bonair, Iowa.

About ten years ago she went to Los Angeles on account of ill health and it was here that she passed away March 5.

The body, accompanied by her son Lester, was then brought to Cresco and on arrival here taken to the Bradley Undertaking Parlor where it remained until Sunday afternoon. The remains were then taken to the home of Mrs. Fannie Mintey to be viewed by the deceased's husband who is confined to his bed. From there the body was taken to the Zion Evangelical church where funeral services were conducted by the Rev. Park E. Miller with burial at the Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Those from away who attended the funeral were Lester Offen, Los Angeles, Calif; Leon Offen, LeRoy, Minn.; Elmer Offen, Pine River, Minn.; Mr. and Mrs. Villo Offen, Bonair; Miss Esther Maage, LeRoy; Mr. and Mrs. Will McNamara and Mr. and Mrs. Fagurly of Decorah; Mr. and Mrs. Fred Walter and Mrs. Marry Quandhl of Bluffton; Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Jacobson, Preston; Mr. and Mrs. Mike Bronner of Maple Leaf; Mr. and Mrs. Herman Lange and Mr. and Mrs. Henry Kiehne of Harmony; and Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Darrah of Rochester, Minn.

Call not back the dear departed
Anchored safe where storms are o'er;
On the border land we left her
Soon to meet and part no more;
When we leave this world of changes
When we leave this world of care,
we shall find our missing loved ones
In our Father's mansions there.

We wish to express our sincere thanks to our friends and relatives for their kindness shown during the death of our beloved wife and mother. We wish to thank Rev. Miller for his comforting words, also the singers.

Mr. Ben Offen and Children
