Last Rites Are Held Tuesday For Frank Bronner, 71

Funeral service for Frank Bronner, 71, were held Tuesday afternoon at two o'clock at the Evangelical church with the pastor, Rev. A. L. Walker officiating.

Burial was made in Cedar Hill cemetery in Albion township.

Mr. Bronner was born in Albion township, Howard county, June 22, 1868, the son of John and Mary Bronner. He received his education in the country school and grew to manhood in this community.

He was married to Jennie Brink, Dec. 12, 1893, the ceremony taking place at Lime Springs. To this un [**see below] ence, who is the late Mrs. Herb Rutherford and Sadie, who is Mrs. Queel.

Mr. and Mrs. Bronner moved to Cresco in 1895 and made their home here since then. Mr. Bronner worked as a teamster. His death followed an illness of 22 months.

Besides his widow and daughter he is survived by two grandchildren, Craig Queel and Dorcas Bea Rutherford. He also leaves three brothers, Dan and Albert of Cresco and John of Los Angeles, and three sisters, Mrs. Mary Jeffers and Mrs. Alma Kuene, Cresco and Kate Dunbar of Cedar Rapids.

Mr. Bronner made many friends during his life. In his last Illness he became a Christian believer and read his bible daily.

**The paper I was given to transcribe from shows this obituary in two section that were pushed together and then copied. A couple of sentences were left out. I wonder if the sentences might have been "To this union were born two daughters, Constance, who is the late Mrs. Herb Rutherford and Sadie, who is Mrs. Queel." I can clear up some of the confusion in the above obituary transcription. Mrs. Herb Rutherford is Frank's daughter Florence M. Bonner Rutherford, her husband was Hervey, not Herb. Their adopted daughter is Dorcas Bea Rutherford who is listed as a surviving relative to Frank.
