The Howard County Times, Cresco, Iowa, July 29, 1886.

LIME SPRINGS: FATAL ACCIDENT TO W.H. JONES. Last Friday at Foreston, the underpinning of the mill having become poor, Mr. Williams in making preparations to rebuild it, one of the walls being taken down, leaving the face or joint nearly perpendicular, while Mr. W.H. Jones, with a man named Corbit, was bailing water just beneath, some loose stones with a stick of timber gave away, coming down, either the stick of timber or a stone struck Mr. Jones on the back of his head, killing him, instantly. He was buried Saturday. He leaves a wife and two childen. He was the son of R.W. Jones, known as "Iowa Dick".
