Jane Ann Jones, the late Mrs. Robert H. Roberts, was born near Rock Hill, Wis., Dec. 11, 1853. She moved when four years old with her parents Mr. and Mrs. R.W. Jones to Iowa and they were the first Welsh settlers in Foreston. She lived in that vicinity for many years and continued to do so for thirteen years after she was united in marriage to Robert Roberts also of Foreston. Their home was close by the Foreston Welsh church. To this union five children were born, three dying in infancy and Joshua, Aug. 28, 1929. Fourteen years ago her husband preceded her in death. After a brief period, she moved to Lime Springs and lived there until her death Sunday May 24, 1931, at the age of 77 years. After 6 months of illness she passed peacefully to her heavenly Father. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Richard Morris, her son's wife, Mrs. Helen Roberts of Antigo, Wis., seven grandchildren and many friends. The funeral was held from the Presbyterian Church Tuesday afternoon conducted by Rev. R. Lewis, assisted by Rev. Prescott. Vocal numbers were rendered by Tom Price, Mrs. W.W. Thomas and Mrs. R.L. Jones. Burial was in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
