Richard Jones, known as "Iowa Dick" died at his home Sunday, April 19th. Funeral services were conducted at the home Tuesday afternoon. He was one of Howard County's pioneers, settling in Forest City twp. in 1857.

R. W. Jones passed away early MonŽday last at his home north of Bonair. His funeral took place the day following. He was an old resident of the county and was best known by the sobriquet of Iowa Dick." We are without the necessary data for an obituary.
