DOROTHY V. DUFFY, 87, LEROY NATIVE

Family graveside services were held at Riverside Cemetery in Riceville Thursday, Sept. 3 for Dorothy V. Duffy, 87, who died Sept. 2, 1998, at Howard County Regional Health Services in Cresco, The Rev. Edythe Hill officiated at the services.

Mrs. Duffy was born July 29, 1911 in LeRoy, daughter of Clarence and Belle (Hawkins) Wells. She graduated from LeRoy High School, and married Chales Duffy. They made their home in Riceville where he was a barber. She had made her home at the Howard County Residential Facility for many years.

Survivors include her children, Donna McFarlane, Willard, Wis.; Dorothy Sanchy, Freemont, Calif.; LeRoy Duffy, Charles City, Iowa; Gary Duffy, Riceville, Iowa; and Robert Duffy, Oakland, Calif. Also grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband and a daughter, Patsy. Lindstrom Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
