Died at his residence in this township, of pleuro-pneumonia, Worden Yates Wells, on Tuesday April 20, 1880. An old resident of Howard County. Leaves to mourn his wife, Orsavilla and 13 children. Six sons: George Worden, Cameron Paul, Benjamin Francis, twins Edgar Higby and Egbert Hatch, and Ferdinand Oscar. Seven daughters: Lucy Ann Huey, Elizabeth Pauline Simes, Almira Thankful Jerred, Geneva Mae Palmerton, Mary Blanche Jerred, Carrie Orsavilla Harden, and Jessie Edith Butler. A seventh son Ernest Walter died in 1866.
