FATAL ACCIDENT

It becomes our painful duty to record the particulars of a most distressing accident resulting in the death of Orin D. Curtis, son of Orin D. and Rachel Curtis, residing two miles east of this place. At the time of the accident he was loading grain upon a wagon, when, driving over a rough piece of ground a portion of the load slid off, carrying the boy with it beneath the wheel of the wagon, which running over him nearly lengthwise of his body, injured him so severely that he died in a few hours. His age was 11 years, 2 months, and 18 days. Sincerely do we condole with the bereaved and grief stricken parents and friends.
