The clouds of sorrow are hanging over the little city of Ionia. The death angel has again had his advent and Mr. W. J. Heinmiller was claimed as a victim. All Ionia is mourning over the loss of this noble citizen, who has held many offices of trust and honor and who has proven himself worthy at all times.

He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Heinmiller of Riceville, Iowa, and was born on the 15th day of June, 1878, in Iowa county, Iowa. Later he went with his parents to Elma, Iowa, in which place he grew to manhood.

On the 26th day of September, 1906, he was united in marriage to Miss Rose S. Semm, to which union three boys were born, Adelbert, Kenneth and Dermond. In 1910 the family moved to Ionia where the deceased engaged in the barber business. He has held the office of mayor for two terms and all were aware of the fact that Mr. Heinmiller had the welfare of our city in mind at all times. He was always ready to do his utmost in every forward movement and thru his influence and sight of right was held uppermost.

He was a Christian in the full sense of the work and was affiliated with the Congregational church at the time of his death.

About ten days ago he took sick with influenza and was thot to be improving when suddenly pneumonia seized him and his sick bed proved to be his death bed. He passed out with faith in his Lord on the 13th day of December, 1918, aged 40 years, 5 months, and 28 days.
