Priscilla Kleppe, daughter of Adam and Cordelia Kleppe, was born in Cedar County, Iowa, near Bennett, on April 10, 1879, and departed this life on Feb. 3, 1918.
On Dec. 9, 1895, she was united in marriage to Frank Ford of Tipton and to this union six children were born, two sons, Forrest and George, and four daughters, Mrs. Effie Jennison, Zeffie, Grace and Agnes, who with her husband mourn her loss. She is also survived by her father and four sisters, Evaline of Mr. Vernon, Amelia Martin of Wilton, Christena Munn of Des Moines, and Victoria Heyden of Riceville.
In 1893 she united with the M. E. church of Tipton, and has lived a consistent Christian life since. During the seven years she has endeared herself to those about her and was always ready to lend a helping hand in time of need. She leaves a host of friends who mourn her passing.
The funeral services were conducted from the home by Rev. C. W Hempstead at 2:30 Tuesday afternoon, and the body, accompanied by the husband, children and sister, was taken to Tipton, her childhood home, for burial.
