Jessie M. Jennison, daughter of Charles and Alice Jennison, was born in Oakdale Township, Howard County, Iowa, Nov. 11, 1865.

She was married to W. H. Griffin of Wayne Township, Mitchell County, Iowa, in November, 1888. Four sons were born to them--Lynn, Lloyd, Harry and Howard. Most of their wedded life was spent in this vicinity. Two years ago the family moved to Altmar, New York, from which place the wife and mother passed on to her reward Dec. 28, 1913.
