Elizabeth Normington was born December 31st, 1833, at Claverick, N. Y., and died at her home in Saratoga, Iowa, July 8th, 1910, at 5:25 p.m.

On July 13, 1856, she was united in marriage to Albert Miller and they at once commenced the pioneer life of making a home in Jenkins township, Mitchell county, Iowa. During the winter of 1865-66 they moved to Saratoga, where the husband passed to the great beyond, July 31, 1972.

Four children were born to this union--Mrs. Estella Chesebro of Warner, South Dakota, Mrs. Delia Wallace and Mrs. Minnie Miles of Saratoga, and a son who died in infancy.

Deceased early in life identified herself with the Congregational church, and when the church was organized at Saratoga, united by letter. She was an excellent teacher and Bible scholar in the Sunday School work.

The funeral service was conducted at the home in Saratoga Sabbath afternoon, July 10, at 2 o'clock, by Rev. S. J. Huffman of Riceville.

The large attendance at this service was a beautiful testimony of appreciation and esteem for this mother and neighbor.
