At McGregor, Iowa, Jan. 1, 1919, occurred the marriage of Miss Elsie Peterson to Mr. Charles Frisbie who is now stationed at Camp Funston, Kan. The ceremony ws performed at the M. E. parsonage by Rev. D. C. Perry, formerly of this place. This was a great surprise to the many friends of Elsie and Monday evening twelve of her friends surprised her at the home of her brother Clarence Peterson. As is the usual custom she was given a shower of many useful articles for housekeeping. A most enjoyable evening was spent and a fine luncheon was served. All of her friends wish her a happy and prosperous life. She will hold her position for the present at H. P. Anderson & Co’s store until the discharge of her husband from the army.
