MRS. BERTHA NICHOLS
Mount Pleasant--Mrs. Bertha Nichols, 77, of Mt. Pleasant, died at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, August 28 at the Henry County Health Center.

She was born January 4, 1908 at Glasgow to Osie and Luella Gill Calhoun. She married Henry Nichols Sept 12, 1927 at Mt. Pleasant.

She was a former employee of the Whaley Nursing Home and was member of Calvary Baptist Church.

Surviving her husband, four sons, Robert, Brighton; Lawrence, Yakima, Washington; Ellis and William, both of Mt. Pleasant, a daughter Emma Green, Panhandle, Texas; a brother George Calhoun, Mt. Pleasant; two sisters, Mrs. Betty Mitts and Mrs. Dorothy Johnson, Omaha, Nebr., 26 grandchildren, and 48 great grandchildren.

Funeral: 1:30 p.m., Saturday, Calvary Baptist Church, the Rev. Earl Swiggart. Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Memorials to the Henry County Health Center's long term care unit or her church has been established at Beatty Funeral Home.
