Does anyone know where I could find information on Elias Winfield Dillon, b. July 4, 1852 somewhere near Baltimore. Mother Sara, father ? thought to be Amos. Family members assumed Baltimore meant Baltimore, MD but he was married 1871 at age 19 in Henry Co. Ia. So I am thinking, he was really born near Baltimore, IA. His mother Sarah was a widow. She was remarried to Thomas Hinshaw 1868. We don't know where they came from, how or why they came to Iowa,( it is said they originated in Ireland) what happened to the father, if there were any siblings..all these questions unanswered. Thanks for any help.
