Information on David Nicholas Johnson

I am looking for information on the death of my wife's grandfather, David Nicholas Johnson. He was committed to the Mt Pleasant mental institution some time around 1950 and probably died there some time between 1955-1960. He was born in Keokuk County, Iowa in 1877. Prior to his committal he was an attorney in Louisa County. Any information on his time in the mental institution, his death or his burial would be greatly appreciated!
