My apologies, as I hadn't read the part about "USUAL place of abode". So, certainly, this is no absolute proof the McMillans died in Henry County.

As I understand, mortality census records were only done for the 12 month period PRIOR to the regular census...1850, 1860, etc. And, I believe most states participated. I have not researched this.

I don't believe the original Henry County mortality records exist here in Henry County, at the courthouse. The online postings were probably transcribed from microfilm, though I'm not certain.

Death records were not required, and do not exist in Henry County prior to 1880. And, though "required", after 1880, compliance was sketchy in those first years.

Sorry I haven't been able to help you more.
