I see you added John to Find A Grave. If you could find his obituary, it might list Thomas as a survivor or as having preceded him in death. WPA records have 4 Thomas Atkinsons. One in Taylor County with no dates, one in Guthrie Co. with no birth date but death date of July 1918. There are two in Davenport,Scott County, Iowa: Thos. Atkinson, Oakdale Cem. 1824-1884 and Thos. Atkinson, St. Marguerites Cem., 1855-1932.
