Ursa Carmean

Ursa Mae Carmean, 84, of New London, died at 11:05 p.m. Monday, May 15, 1989, at Burlington Medical Center.

Born May 1, 1905, near New London, she was the daughter of Nathaniel and Ida McKinney Colton. She married Edward Stucke, July 3, 1946. He died in 1964. She then married George Carmean Dec. 18, 1966. He died in 1970.

She spent most of her life in the Mediapolis and Wapello areas. She was as a cook with S.S. Kresege, Burlington, the Coffee Pot, Mediapolis, and the Grandview Restaurant. She was a member of the New London Church of Christ.

Survivng are on brother, George Colton, Glenwood, Colo; and four stepgrandchildren.

Visitation will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Elliot chapel, New London.

The service for Mrs. Carmean will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Elliot chapel, New London, with the Rev. Rod Cooper officiating. Burial will be in the Burge Cemetery.

A memorial has been established.
