Charles Augustus Schindall, 93, died at St. Francis hospital at 1:35 p.m. Thursday.

Schindall was born in Sweden on Aug. 1, 1868, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Augustus Schindall.

On August 1, 1891, he was married to Cynthia Jane Aldrich. They were married at Chicago. Mrs. Schindall died in 1917.

A retired farmer, Schindall was a member of the Methodist church and the IOOF.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Anna Perkins, with whom he made his home; a sister, Mrs. Anna Carlson, La Porte City, and several grandchildren.

Three sons, two daughter, and a sister died previously.

Last rites will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Elliot-Lunning chapel, the Rev. James V. Poulsen, pastor of the West Burlington Methodist church, will officiate, and burial will be in Burge Cemetery
