Ruth Marie Crane, 104, of Mt. Pleasant, died Monday, Aug. 30, 2004, at Henry County Health Center in Mt. Pleasant.

A private family gathering with burial in Forest Home Cemetery will be at a later date. There will be no visitation or service. Weir & Kimzey Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant is in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include a son, Frederick and his wife Lois Crane of Mt. Pleasant; a daughter, Barbara Dana and her husband Albert DeWayne Carlson III of Setawket, Long Island, N.Y.; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, a brother and a sister.
