PIONEER PASSES AT NEW LONDON
Mrs. Irene Ramsey, Aged 73 years, Died Thursday Morning

New London, Ia., Sept. 18 – Mrs. Irene Ramsey died Thursday morning at 10 o’clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Belle Mathews, after a long illness with cancer. She was born on April 5, 1852, and was married to George Ramsey, March 31, 1871 and died September 17, 1925, at the age of 73 years.

She had lived here all of her life and leaves to mourn their loss three daughters – Mrs. Belle Mathews, Mrs. George Colton and Mrs. Ella Wright. The funeral was held Friday, September 18, at 2:30 p.m. at the M. E. church. Rev. J.C. Behrens officiated. Interment was in the Ramsey cemetery, three miles east of New London.
