DANVILLE – George Herald Grinstead, 74, retired Danville farmer, died at his home, west of here at 8:15 a.m. Tuesday, Mar. 2, of an apparent heart attack.
He was born June 5, 1896, in Henry County, the son of George and Anna Bonar Grinstead. On Dec. 25, 1919, he married Vada Parrott at Danville. He was a member of the Danville First Baptist Church, American Legion and a World War I Army veteran.
Surviving: Wife, two sons, Carl and William, Danville; daughter, Mrs. Wanda Watts, Danville; two sisters, Mrs. Versa McLean, Mt. Lake Terrace, Wash., and Mrs. Ruth Herrick, Nampa, Ida.; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral: Friday, 11 a.m., First Baptist church; Rev. Glenn Emmert; Jaggar Cemetery.
