Harold A. Reschly, age 81, of Olds, died Thursday, September 26, 1996 at the Henry County Health Center in Mt. Pleasant. He was born July 24, 1915 south of Wayland, the son of William and Katie (Swartzendruber) Reschly. On December 24, 1942 he married Lolabelle Halversen at Manitou Springs, Colorado.

He was owner/operator of Olds Cabinet Shop, being a cabinet maker himself. He was also a member of the Olds Lions Club; an active member of the Olds United Church of Christ; and enjoyed his many years of volunteering at Old Threshers and making caramel corn.

Survivors include: his wife; one son, Meredith Reschly and his wife, Elizabeth, of Linden, Michigan; one granddaughter; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Floyd Reschly of Olds and Ralph Reschly of Mt. Union, and two sisters; Edna Roth of Olds and Irene Owens of Winfield. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Ruth Kauffman.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 28 at 2 P.M. at the Olds United Church of Christ with the Rev. John Nickelsen officiating. Interment will follow in the North Wayne Township Cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday morning from 10:30 - 11:30 A.M. at the Olds United Church of Christ with the family present at that time. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. A memorial has been established for the Olds United Church of Christ and the Olds Lions Club.
