Funeral services for Ruth Mae Wenger were held from the Bethel Mennonite Church, Friday, January 20, 1984 at 2 P.M. Rev. Oliver Yutzy, pastor of the church, officiated. Music was by Merna Wenger, Janice Wenger, Marilyn Hershberger, Ruth Brenneman and Lois Klopfenstein. Casket bearers were Rodney Wenger, John Wenger, Norman Unternahrer, David Unternahrer, David Koerner, Jim Magdefrau. Interment was in Bethel Cemetery.

Ruth Mae Wenger was born May 13, 1906 near Wayland, the daughter of Benjamin and Barbara Kauffman Widmer. Thanksgiving Day, November 27, 1930, she was married to J. C. Wenger who preceded her in death on November 6, 1974. She was baptized at the Sugar Creek Mennonite Church and later transferred her membership to the Beth Mennonite Church where she was a member at the time of her death on January 18, 1984. She passed away at Parkview Home where she had resided since 1976, first living in the apartments until ill health forced her to move to the home.

She is survived by cousins, brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.
