MABEL E. FERRINGTON

Mabel Evelyn Ferrington, 78, Burlington, died Monday, July 5, at St. Francis Continuation Care and Nursing Center.

She was born July 14, 1903, at New London, to Clarence E. and Henrietta Hanks Shipley. She married Warren Chester Ferrington Sept. 21, 1921, in Burlington.

Mrs. Ferrington was a housewife and belonged to Faith United Presbyterian Church. She also belonged to the Royal Neighbors and the Order of the Eastern Star. She attended West Burlington High School and Gregg Business School.

Surviving: husband, Burlington; one daughter, Mrs. Charles (Virginia Mae) Miller, Burlington; six grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren.

Funeral: 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Giles-Elliott Chapel, the Rev. Clair Marvel; Burge Cemetery, near New London. A memorial has been established.
