October 9, 1936 - January 24, 2004

Glenn J. Klopfenstein, 67, Seymour, died at 11:33 A.M. Saturday January 24, 2004 at Schneck Medical Center, Seymour, Indiana.

Mr. Klopfenstein was a member of Rockford United Methodist Church. He retired from Contel in 1990 and was a member of Seymour Kiwanis Club. He served as his church's treasurer and also worked for Meals on Wheels. He served for 10 yers as treasurer of Jackson County Community Concerts and also on the board of Jackson County Community Theatre.

Gleen graduated from Mount Pleasant High Schoo, Iowa, in 1955 and then from the University of Iowa in 1959. He moved to Jackson County in 1978 from Baldwin, Missouri.

Born October 9, 1936 at Wayland, Iowa, son of R. Glenn Klopfenstein and Bessie Roth Klopfenstein, who preceded him in death. He marred Marilee Mason July 23, 1961 at Iowa City Iowa. She survives at Seymour.

He is also survived by a son Bryan (Katie) Klopfenstein, West Chester, Ohio; a daughter Robin (Floyd) Ray, Seymour; four grandchildren, Jason and Brittney Ray both of Seymour, and A. J. Klopfenstein and David Klopfenstein both of West Chester, Ohio. A brother, Fred (June) Klopfenstein of Aurora, Colorado, a sister Mildred Graber, Washington, Iowa, four nieces and three nephews.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Maxine Hensley and two brothers-in-law, Wilbert Graber and Dale Hensley.

The Rev. Rosa Harris conducted funeral services at 11 A.M. Thursday at Voss and Sons Funeral Service, Voss Chapel, Seymour, with burial at Riverview Cemetery, Seymour. Memorials were established to the Rockford United Methodist Church Building Fund or Kiwanis Club for Riley Hospital for Children.
