Mary Hillard Nicholson Feeney

Mary Hillard Nicholson Feeney, 64, of Winfield, died at 5 p.m. Sunday, May 22, 2005, at her home.

Born May 1, 1941, in New London, she was the daughter of Wilbur and Harriet Elizabeth Waddle Hillard. On April 9, 1960, she married Gerald Nicholson. He died July 21, 1969. On April 18, 1971, she married Robert Feeney in Kahoka, Mo.

Mrs. Feeney was a homemaker.

She was a 1959 graduate of New London High School. She was a member of New London Christian Church.

Survivors include her husband; five sons, Stephen Nicholson of Winter Haven, Fla., Clinton Nicholson of St. Joseph, Mo., Tracy Nicholson of Winfield, Brett Nicholson of Las Vegas and Sean Feeney of St. Joseph, Mo.; one stepson, Mark Feeney of Sulphur Springs, La.; nine grandchildren; two great–grandchildren; one sister, Roberta Ball of New London; and two brothers, Ben Hillard of Seattle and Marvin Hillard of Phoenix, Ariz.

Besides her first husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and one sister.

There will be no visitation. According to her wishes, the body has been cremated.

A private graveside burial for Mrs. Feeney will be in Trinity Cemetery in Mount Union, with Pastor Chuck Visser officiating.

A memorial has been established for Hospice of Washington County and should be sent to Tracy Nicholson, 307 N. Olive St., Winfield, Iowa 52659.
