Edith Electra Skipton, 79, passed away at 5 am,
Wednesday, January 15, 1969, at Morning Sun Manor
following a lingering illness. She had been a
resident of the manor about two years.

The daughter of Jacob and Emma Meeker Eveland,
she was born November 05, 1879 in Henry County,
Iowa.

She was married March 15 1896 at Winfield, Iowa,
to Lewis O. Skipton who passed away May w, 1961.

Surviving her are two sons and one daughter; O.E.
Skipton of Winfield, Dr. George J. Skipton of
St Joseph, Mo. and Mrs Elton Hewitt of Morning
Sun; as well as six grandchildren and nine great
grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her parents, husband and
one brother

Funeral siervices will be Saturday at 2 pm at
Barton-Mckasson Funeral Home with Rev Charles
Sommers, Pastor of the Winfield United Methodist
Church in Charge.

Interment in Winfield-Scott township Cemetery,
Winfield, Iowa.
