Mrs. Barbara Roth passed away at the Memorial Hospital in Mt. Pleasant Tuesday morning, August 1, where she had been a patient since Friday night after breaking her hip at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Dale Clark, with whom she had made her home for the past eleven years.

Barbara Roth was born February 14, 1882 in Hopedale, Illinois, the daughter of John and Lizzie Sutter Roth. She was married to Peter Roth who preceded her in death April 10, 1929.

Survivors include the following children: Albert, Shickley, Nebraska; Harry, Denver, Colorado; Melvin, Hotchkiss, Colorado; Raymond, Fresno, California; Vernon, Houston, Texas; Mrs. Ella Clark, Mt. Pleasant; Ann Schrock, Kalona; Mary Roth, Milford, Nebraska, and Sam of Wisner, Nebraska; and 51 grandchildren, as well as a number of great-granchidlren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and five children.

Services will be held Friday, August 4 at 2 P.M. at the Sugar Creek Mennonite Church where she was a member with Rev. Vernon Gerig in charge of the services Burial will be in North Hill cemetery. Zehr Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
