Pauline Sadler
Pauline G. Sadler, 85, of New London, formerly of Pella, died Wednesday, Sept. 6, 2000, at Henry County Health Center in Mount Pleasant.
Born July 9, 1915, south of Knoxville, she was the daughter of Francis E. and Nora E. Conley Hedrick. She married Robert Sadler on Nov. 23, 1935, in Unionville, Mo. He died July 19, 1981.
Mrs. Sadler was a 1932 graduate of Knoxville High School and a homemaker.
She was a member of New London United Methodist Church, Joy Circle, New London Post 7641 Auxiliary, Rebekah Lodge and the Retired Senior Volunteer Program.
She was a volunteer for Hospice Home Health Care of St. Joseph, Mo. She collected antiques and enjoyed sewing and helping people.
Survivors include six sons, John Robert Sadler of Burlington, Rex Lee Sadler of Mechanicsville, Ronald Hedrick Sadler of New London, William P. Sadler of Jefferson City, Mo., Thomas H. Sadler of Commerce Township, Mich., and Timothy James Sadler of Pella; two daughters, Nora Jane Green of Cleveland, Tenn., and Mary Sue Escoda of Decatur, Tenn.; 29 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Edith Reed of Marshalltown.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, two sons, seven brothers, one sister and one grandson.
Friends may call after noon today at Elliott Chapel in New London, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m.
The funeral for Mrs. Sadler will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Elliott Chapel, with Pastor Matt Miller officiating. Burial will be in Burge Cemetery, New London.
Memorials have been established for New London United Methodist Church and Myasthenia Gravis.
