MRS. MARY H. DANIHY IN 96TH BIRTHDAY
Mrs. Mary Hanlon Danihy is celebrating her ninety-sixth birthday quietly today in her home at 211 Albany street, with her children, Miss Agnes Danihy, W.J. Danihy and Mrs. P.S. Boyle, and other relatives as well as friends offering her congratulations. Mrs. Danihy, who was born April 15, 1836, in County of Waterfall, Cork, Ireland, came to the United States with her parents in 1851.

MARY DANIHY, 96 YEARS OLD, CALLED HEREMrs. Mary Danihy, 96 years old, a native of Cork county, Ireland, and widow of James Danihy, died at her residence, 211 Albany street, at 2 p.m. Friday. She had been a resident of Ottumwa for about eleven years.
Mrs. Danihy was born April 15, 1836, in Cork county, near the town of Cork, in Ireland. In 1851 she came to the United States with her mother and other members of the family. They lived for a year in New York before coming to Iowa.
Surviving are one son, William Danihy of Ottumwa; four daughters, Mayme Danihy and Mrs. P.S. Boyle, both of Ottumwa, Mrs. J.M. Yetter of Ft. Morgan, Colo., and Mrs. E.L. Wright of Utica, Kan.; one granddaughter, Mrs. Arthur Floyd of Ft. Morgan.
Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Monday from St. Mary's Catholic church, the funeral cortege forming at the Moroney funeral home at 8:30. The Very Rev. J.M. Walsh, V.F., will celebrate a requiem high mass.
The body will be taken to Mt. Pleasant, where burial will be made in the Catholic cemetery there. The Rev. M.F. Gaffney will have charge of the services at the grave.
