Larry D. Arduser, 71, of Wayland died Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2013, at Parkview Home in Wayland.
A memorial service is at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Parkview Home in Wayland, with the Rev. Joseph Brown officiating and music provided by Steve and Bonita Epely. Burial will be in Cottonwood Cemetery following cremation.
Gould Funeral Home in Brighton assisted the family.
Mr. Arduser was born July 10, 1942, in Moline, Ill., the son of Harold E. and Gladys M. Reighard Arduser. He married Betty Jean Baker Aug. 25, 1962, in Burlington.
He grew up in Pleasant Palin and attended Pleasant Plain schools.
He was an auto mechanic and had worked as a service manager at different dealerships. He enjoyed rebuilding and racing Damson cars.
He enjoyed working in his woodworking shop.
He lived in Colorado for a few years but lived most of his life in the Quad Cities area.
Survivors include his wife; one son, Jeffrey Arduser and spouse Kelly of East Moline, Ill; one daughter, Cindy Swanson and spouse Alan of Cambridge, Ill.; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one brother, Robert Arduser, and one sister, Joyce Long both of Moline, Ill.
He preceded in death by his parents and one son, Kevin Eugene Arduser.
