GEORGE W. ROOK.

ELDON. - George W. Rook, 78, of Eldon died at the St. Joseph hospital in Ottumwa at 8 p.m. Thursday. He had been in poor health several months and suffered a stroke Sunday.

He was married in 1895, to Clara Denny, who died October 12, 1934. A son, Fred, died in 1918. He is survived by a son, Stanley, of Floris; three brothers, two sisters and two grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the Campbell funeral home here, in charge of the Rev. Milton Forbes. Burial will be at Salem.
